AGE: Between 18 and 25 years (Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC categories)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from a recognized University.
or
10+2 with three years Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management & Catering Technology from a Government recognized Institute.
or
10+2 with minimum two years experience in the Service/Hospitality industry*
* For experience in Service/Hospitality industry, the following areas will be treated as relevant for determining eligibility: -
- Airline/Aviation industry
- Call Center/BPO
- Hotel Industry (minimum 3 Star)
- Event Management/Advertising industry
- Financial Sector (Banking/Insurance Companies)
- Travel & Tourism Agency (must be an IATA member)
- Reputed luxury & fashion goods retail/large retail chains
- Reputed Food/Coffee chains/specialty restaurant
- Healthcare
- Telecom
- Media
CANDIDATES APPEARING IN THE FINAL YEAR EXAMINATION IN THE YEAR 2008 OF GRADUATION OR 3 YEARS’ DIPLOMA/DEGREE IN HOTEL MANAGEMENT & CATERING TECHNOLOGY MAY APPLY PROVIDED THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO PRODUCE THEIR FINAL YEARS’ RESULT LATEST BY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2008. IF REQUIRED, SEPARATE PANELS WILL BE FORMED FOR SUCH CANDIDATES.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
Vision: Normal eyesight without glasses OR Corrected with contact lenses (Power of Lenses should not exceed ± 4D)
Colour Vision: Normal on Ishihara Plates (To know more about Colour Vision & Ishihara Plates, please refer to FAQs.)

Female - Minimum 154.5 cms with proportionate weight.
Male - Minimum 163 cms with proportionate weight.
(For SC/ST candidates, minimum height is relaxable by 2.5 cms)
LANGUAGE :
Fluency in English and one or more Indian Languages. Should also have working knowledge of Hindi.
A candidate shall be deemed to have acquired working knowledge of Hindi, if he/she has passed:
i) Matriculation or an equivalent or higher examination with Hindi as one of the subject; OR
ii) Pragya, the examination conducted under Hindi Teaching Scheme of the Central Government or when so specified by that Government in respect of any particular category of post, any lower examination under that scheme; OR
iii) Any other examination specified on that behalf by the Central Government; OR
iv) He / she declares himself/herself to have acquired such knowledge.
